Week 19Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, iut will be measured to you.  Matthew 7:1-2

This weeks devotion made me smile.  I actually really enjoyed what Gary had to say about each of us being different and offering something to one another.

Some of you may know, but Joel and I had a very early start to our relationship and we got married very young.  Because of this, we literally grew up together.  I think it is so amazing to look back at the last 10 years of my life and realize how God was using Joel to shape me and vise versa.   I can remember many stubborn moments for both of us.  But when you take a step back and allow your spouse to speak to you with an open mind, it is amazing what God can do!

What strengths does your spouse possess that you do not?  What areas of your life has your spouse been able to help you in?  For me, Joel has really helped to shape my optimism.  I am not an optimist!  But slowly, Joel has shown me the value in choosing to see the good.  That is just one of the many strengths Joel brings to our marriage.

I pray that this week you are able to stop and appreciate your spouse.  Think about how they have shaped you into the person you are today and maybe even take time to thank them!

On a side note, my life has been a little hectic and I am embarrassed that the blog has fallen so far behind.  I am going to do my best to not let that happen again!  I hope you are still reading and enjoying these wonderful devotions!Picture
